International Self-Compassion Day

A Practice - A Poem

10 a.m. EDT

Since 2024, and thus for the third consecutive year, at the initiative of the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion,

an American organization dedicated to training and promoting compassion for oneself and others,

based on the Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) program created by Kristin Neff and Christopher Germer,

the third Saturday in July is International Self-Compassion Day.

To mark this special day and help make compassion a part of your daily life,

I invite you to join me online at 10 a.m. EDT,

so we can explore together a practice from the MSC program, accompanied by a poem.

Join in silence, preferably with your camera on—even if you later choose to stay out of frame—

and let yourself be guided.

It is more enjoyable to facilitate when screens are lit up by your presence;

however, please choose whatever feels most compassionate for you.

The session will not include verbal exchanges among participants;kind gestures and shared smiles are, however, encouraged.

The session will last 30 to 35 minutes.

Participation is free and requires no prior registration, nor experience.

Note: A session will also be offered in French at 9:00 a.m.  EDT via the same link, also open freely.

I look forward to welcoming you there, with peace and light,
