World Meditation Day's observance

December 21st, 2025

In 2024, the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed December 21 as World Meditation Day.

For the second edition, consider participating in one of the many events available online and around the world.

There is probably an event in your area, or practice alone, even if daily practice is not yet part of your daily routine.

For those who prefer not to attend a large group event but still wish to practice with others, I will open two Zoom rooms at two different time to practice together without guidance, but with soft music in the background, as complete silence can be difficult for some, and you can always mute the sound.

One session will take place in the morning at 8 a.m. Eastern Time, and the other in the evening at 6 p.m. Eastern Time.

Each session will last 30 minutes.

How will it work ?

It will be in companionable silence, which means you can make eye contact and smile when you enter if you wish, while respecting everyone's choice without taking it personally.

A background of soft music will be shared.

Speakers will be turned off and you can choose to:

  • listen to a guided meditation during this time, and if so,  a loving-kindness meditation may be an excellent choice,

  • or anchor yourself in the music,

  • or simply remain in complete silence by muting your sound, depending on your preference.

It is recommended that you turn on your camera to respect everyone's  emotional safety, but you can choose to remain out of the frame for your own emotional safety.

Feel free to share the link with a dear friend who might be interested, regardless of their language :  we will simply use the language of connection, love, and compassion.
